What happens there?

What do I get? I want stuff!

Players will get to play for FREE from 6PM to 9PM on Saturday, May 12th, 2012. Players will get a chance to win one of three HON Prize Packs including Goblin Gold, a HON Shirt, and a Panda Plushie! We’ll also raffle game time, gift cards, and other prizes, based upon attendance.

Go to the Avacyn Restored Prerelease and experience the newest Magic: The Gathering set a week before it goes on sale! You will also receive an exclusive promo card (Moonsilver Spear) while supplies last!
What happens there?

When you show up at a Prerelease you will be given the opportunity to play with the newest cards in the following formats:

Sealed Deck: Each player receives six Avacyn Restored booster packs to use for building a deck.

Two-Headed Giant Sealed: Each team of two players receives eight Avacyn Restored booster packs to use for each player to build a deck.

Open the Helvault: Players will have the opportunity to help break the seals during the Prerelease using their achievement cards. Space is limited, so be sure to preregister!

What  do I get? I want stuff!

Players will get two booster packs for each event as a thank you for registering. This is in addition to packs used for the event itself, so register for each event to get a ton of boosters! While supplies last, players will also receive the Moonsilver Spear promo card. Because supplies are limited, we ask one promo card per player. You’ll also get an Achievement Card, which is a great way to test your prowess against other players, and will also be used to break the seals to unleash the Helvault! We’re also going to be giving away game time, food and drink, gift cards, and more, so register for multiple events to really rack up!

What’s it gunna cost me? Can I get boosters by the box?

Registration is $25.00 per event. Call the store at 803.462.4199 to pre-register. Hurry, space is limited! Register for multiple events, so you can get the free boosters, as well as other great prizes!

When are the events?

This one is easy: Friday nights! Friday Night Magic starts Fridays around 6 P.M. Games are open to all, but you have to have a D.C.I. number to participate. If you don’t have one, we’ll register you. No cost, no strings! Oh, and don’t forget prizes! We’ve got great prize support from Wizards of the Coast, as well as some good old fashioned That Computer Store love! And to round out your evening, we’ve got snacks, games, goodies, and pretty much anything you might want to have a blast! Our LAN gaming center is fully armed and operations as well, so in between matches you can log on and play till you drop, or Midnight, whichever comes first! Need to know about the rules? Friday Night Magic Rules

• 1st and 2nd place receive one prize card each.
• Door prize: The tournament organizer will randomly award the remaining two prize cards to two players that did not place first or second.
• FNM events have a Planeswalker Points multiplier of 1x. For more information about Planeswalker Points, visit this page.
• Stores do not have to run FNM tournaments each week, so contact the store in advance be sure they are running FNM on the date you’re planning on visiting.
• All 4 prize cards associated with each Friday Night Magic event must be awarded to the players.
• Friday Night Magic events can only be run on Fridays.
